Second-half goals from Cacau and Khalid Boulahrouz were enough to give Stuttgart an impressive win at Kaiserslautern and move them into fourth place in the Bundesliga.
After a goalless first half, Cacau's third of the season broke the deadlock before Boulahrouz sealed a fifth win of the season for Bruno Labbadia's men.
They had to weather an early storm to lay the foundations for the win, though, but once they got a foothold in the game, they were more than worthy of the win.
Kaiserslautern's Christian Tiffert had the first chance of the game, picking up in centre field and driving into the box, only to see his effort blocked by Stuttgart stopper Sven Ulreich.
